Eclectus - Male

🐦 The Male Solomon Island Eclectus Parrot
(Eclectus roratus solomonensis) is instantly recognizable by his vibrant emerald green coloration and striking accent colors. Like females, males of this species played a role in one of the most fascinating classification errors in ornithology, as the two sexes were once believed to be entirely different species due to their dramatic visual differences. Eclectus are an excellent choice for those with allergies to birds as they produce almost no dust.
