Cockatoo - Moluccan Hybrid

🦜 Moluccan Hybrid Cockatoo

A Moluccan Hybrid Cockatoo is a striking and uncommon parrot resulting from the crossbreeding of a Moluccan Cockatoo (Cacatua moluccensis) with another large cockatoo species—we crossbreed with the Umbrella Cockatoo. Because hybrids are not standardized, each bird displays a unique blend of physical traits, personality quirks, and coloration, making them especially fascinating to aviculturists.

🌺 Physical Appearance Size & Build

  • Typically large and robust, often ranging from 18–22 inches in length.

  • Strong, curved beak capable of cracking tough nuts.

  • Broad wings and a powerful chest, giving them an impressive presence.

Feathering & Coloration

  • Plumage varies depending on the parent species, but many hybrids retain the soft peach‑pink glow of the Moluccan Cockatoo.

  • Some individuals show:
Pale white or cream body feathers
